♎︎Libra

“Right now you are wired to keep things balanced. When someone gives you something, a compliment, a favour, a moment of genuine attention, your hand moves instantly to return it. The scales must tip back. It feels rude not to offer something equal or greater, so you smile and deflect, or you scramble to do something nice in return before you have even finished receiving what was given. But kindness is not a transaction that needs immediate settlement. When you swat away a real compliment with a joke, you are not being gracious. You are refusing the gift. The person who saw something good in you and spoke it out loud has to watch you discount their observation. They have to do the work twice. There is a different move available. You can receive what lands on you. You can say thank you and let silence follow. You can write it down on that last page and keep it there. This is not imbalance. This is you, for once, standing still and letting something true rest in your hands without immediately throwing the ball back across the net.”

Libra seeks harmony and balance in all things, with a natural gift for seeing every side.
